The Shi Wu De Professorship in Chinese Buddhist Studies  was created by an endowment donation of $1.1 million to Victoria University in the University of Toronto in May 2015.

As a result of this Buddhist community donation, a Master of Pastoral Studies: Buddhism Program was established at Emmanuel College, the theological graduate school of Victoria University.

Dr Henry Shiu, PhD, has been appointed the Shi Wu De Professor in Chinese Buddhist Studies at Emmanuel College effective July 1, 2020. We congratulate Dr. Shiu on his appointment.
