The Buddhist Education Foundation of Canada is a charity incorporated in 2001 with the objectives of raising and accumulating funds for the purposes of funding Buddhism and related courses, Buddhist studies programs, and chairs and centres for Buddhist studies in Canadian universities.
For over a decade, we have advanced Buddhist education in Canada by initiating, advocating, fundraising and donating. The many volunteers who have tirelessly contributed their talents, time and energy form the backbone of our organization. While we look back and feel happy about the fruits of our collective labour, there is much work yet to be done in the future to enable better access to Buddhist education in Canada.
As we move forward, we welcome new ideas from the Buddhist community with respect to better ways to initiate, advocate, fund-raise and donate for the advancement of Buddhist Education in Canada.
